Loved it, great food and service. Good atmosphere.
Great hotpot. Location is very convenient, close to London Victoria
Amazing service and excellent food, best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to I would highly recommend. We were served by the lovely Alex.
We saw their advertisement on a Chinese social media said they were offering the half price hot pot from 30th Sep to 3rd Oct 2019 for the celebration of 70th Anniversary of PRC. We thought it would be a good value, so we booked the table. However, when we arrived, we got told there was only hot pot soup base is half price which is not what the advertisement said and what we understood from it (we would rather go somewhere else for the better hot pot for the same price!!) But we still stayed for the food because we didn’t want the hassles. If they advertised half price for the hot pot soup base from the very beginning, that would make everything clear, but they didn’t, they just advertised “half price for the hot pot!”Food is OK, and due to the false advertisement, I would not recommend this restaurant.
The restaurant looked very dark from outside, so it was a bit adventure for us to walk in. But we were pleasantly surprised by the posh and tasteful ambiance. The food was excellent authentic Chinese with perfect volumes. We had a Peking duck, which was cooked to perfection. Vegetables were fresh. They had many unusual menu such as Japanese top class steak and Australian abalone etc. So there is something for everyone even if you are too keen about chinese. Our two daughters, 6 and 9, thoroughly enjoyed seafood fried rice and banana flambe. Highly recommended for authentic Chinese food lovers.
Good service, friendly and good food
The food is amazing. Although we had staff coming over and apologising every 10 min for delay in the service. We did have to wait very long for our food and even ordering extra rice took them 15 min before we received it. Apparently we got there at the time that only 1 chef was in the kitchen as the rest had a lunch break. But food is so good that it's worth coming back for it. So we will...
Incredible food and service! Honestly speaking, they serve the best and most authentic Chinese food in London from my experience. Price is reasonable as well. And I always forget the fact that I’m in London as soon as I step into the restaurant, makes me feel like home.
I have been there a number of times, tried all sort of dishes and all of them are very delicious! Last night we had hotpot with 2 flavored soups, both of them were super nice! The veg and meat were also very fresh and tasty! Looking forward to visiting this place soon!
Fantastic food, great atmos6. Staff were professional and very polite.
I don't normally write reviews but this time I feel I should because my stomach has still not recovered.Very disappointed because the previous management/chef had a very good menu and there was quality in the food and the cooking. The prices have stayed the same of a fine dining restaurant, however the food nothing like what it used to be before. I didn't even eat much and I had the worst upset stomach ever after eating here - still feeling nausea today. I don't think the quality of the food is in line with the prices, at all. With the same amount I would have eaten at YauatchaStaff is nice, but the food is really not.Save your money and your stomach.
If you’re Chinese, I am sure this will definitely below your expectations. We tried hotpot, too expensive and not good. But the atmosphere is good.
Really amazing food and authentic setting. The service was outstanding, our waiter was incredibly knowledgeable about the whole menu including the cocktails. Also reasonably priced. Will definitely be going back.
Not to my standard. Slow service, food had no taste at all with tiny portions The staff kept talking between themselves. Overall never enjoyed the meal and would not recommend to anyone. Also not the cleanest restaurant i have been to.
First time here. The food was great, but a lot of the menu options were not available... would go there again because has ++ space and good service. Although there are better Chinese options nearby.
Bad experience. Menu far too restricted. It was explained that it was because the restaurant focuses only on cuisine from a specific region. Service far too slow, although quite polite and courteous. Portions tiny. We had to have a Chinese meal at another Chinese restaurant after this restaurant. Far too expensive.
Amazingly delicious Chinese food 👍 and staffs give the most friendly service! The fresh coconut base chicken soup really impressed us, will definitely go back for that. Fresh chilli stir fried chicken makes you drooling...! The traditional oriental interior design and decoration make you feel like you are in the forbidden city in Beijing rather than in London😉
We ordered takeaway which wasn't cheap, one item wasn't even delivered (a soup) and the duck that was delivered was really overcooked and didn't look appetising at all. There are much better Chinese for better value in this area, don't recommend ordering there.
Best hot pot place ever! With special coconut chicken soup and sour fish soup! Staff are very friendly and provided very good services! Will definitely visit the place again!
Delicious food to a high standard using quality ingredients. Wonderful styling and vibe downstairs with friendly and attentive service. I will be returning, with a group of friends.
I came to dinner with my husband. The environment is beautiful and unique. The starter we eat is very delicious and set the plate is very beautiful. Dinner was also great. I like the grill and chill fish best. Try it.
If hot and spicy Szechuan food is your thing, then this place is for you. Tried the hot pot and few of the main dishes. The sea bass in glass noodle soup is delicious and very spicy. Hot pot comes with an assorted mix of sliced pork, lamb, beef, seafood and a lot of veg. Would also highly recommend the duck spring rolls and crispy squid with back pepperBoth times I've been here service has been really good, place has lovely decor. There are options to for private dining or have drinks in private booths.
Delicious food in weird vibes.
Great service was here for a friend's birthday dinner. Food was real good. All round great experience
Delicious Chinese cuisine. We had to wait a bit for food after ordering.
Clean and neat. Good food and excellent service. Recommended
Really enjoyable. I went here for lunch by myself. There was a lunch deal (£9 for meal and soft drink). Service was excellent and food was delicious.
I visited this restaurant with my friends caused we saw the good promotions on We Chat, but it absolutely wasn't worth the money, 35 pounds per person but not all you can eat, all the dishes are really small size, it could not full our belly seriously. Don't recommend any more customers to come back this restaurant anymore.
Superb. New Dishes. Spicy food as well. Great service. Going again
Go for the hotpot! So happy to hear they had a vegan hotpot option, which was delicious and spicy and full of exciting veg. Perfect sharing food and much more interesting than ordering individual dishes. The staff are super friendly, we ended up going back a week later to bring more friends!
Recommend the coconut chicken and spicy hoppot
Surprised to see this nice hot pot restaurant having so little information on Google Map. Stylish environment and delicious hot pot. Will try some other dishes next time.
Amazing menu and fantastic atmosphere. The restaurant is huge inside which you wouldn't realise from the outside. The food is lovely and I would highly recommend it as I loved everything that I ate.
Nice Chuan Chinese Restaurant!
worse ive ever seen in my life
Great service and decor! Food was decent too but overall on the pricey side. Very western friendly but there was a healthy amount of Chinese there too
Great food Excellent service !! The best part about this restaurant is its ambience and atmosphere! I recommend without any hesitation
Went there for my Birthday and it was a great experience. Food really authentic and nice, the service is warm and friendly. Worth to go
so bad experience,bad food,bad service,unbelievable price
Food has gone downhill and so has the service. The first time we came here in Aug '18 the food was really good, particularly the roasted fish with fresh chillies. Though it was fiery spicy hot, the flavours was amazing and we couldn't stop eating it. The Dan Dan noodles was also really good with all round punchy flavours. 5 stars! However, we've been here a few times afterwards and each time the flavours and service were diminishing. So we thought to try the hotpot on our last visit but this too was just ok, nothing special to command the high prices charged here. What's more, on the last visit we were over charged on the bill and when questioning the waiter they said that there isn't anything they can do as the receipt was already generated and that they would 'look after us' when we next visit. But sadly we no longer eat there as the value and service is just not worth it and so we cannot recommend this place.
I went there today for lunch. I had spring rolls and the marinated beef noodles soup .The food was very nice and the service was great! Can definitely recommend this place if you want a good taste of Chinese food!
Great location, brilliant taste of food, awesome & peaceful service. Really affordable for ur pocket. Never forget the dinner i got from there with my love. Worth to visit.
The hotpot is the most disgusting one I have ever had in my life!!! The soup is not handmade, the meat is obviously stored in fridge for a long time which makes it hard to chew as well as the seafood. Also, the kitchen is near the toilet, the used plates are randomly put around the corner of the hall between the kitchen and toilet. Anyway, do not try it.
Really nice, the hot pot kinda thing in large cool looking bowl was so tasty. really wana go back already :P
Food was very delicious and the atmosphere was amazing. However, I didn't communicate with waiters as I couldn't understand the language so I can't review the service but overaol was good
Incredible! Top quality all the way
There are many guests in the restaurant. I often come over to eat. Reservations are often required in advance to get a table. The environment is Chinese style. The Chinese food here is the most agreeable I have ever eaten.
Fantastic Ambience and good inexpensive food
Very Authentic chinese food...Do not expect British style taje away food.Lovely people
Never had such an authentic Sichuan hotpot in London. The spicy soup base was packed with aroma of different spices. It was tasteful but not oily. And you could have 3 different kinds of soup base at the same time! They have a great choice of ingredients to choose from, including authentic Asian picks like pig blood, tripes, minced cuttlefish etc. We ordered the hotpot set which came with the soup base, sauces and 14 different ingredients like sliced beef, sliced lamb, scallops, king prawns, tofu, black fungus etc. All were fresh and perfectly matched with the Sichuan spicy soup.Apart from the food, I was impressed by the ventilation system. I didn’t smell at all when I left even I was wearing a knitwear!
